First River Trip dun dun dun....

And what a first trip it was. Actually Sophie did pretty good. She was great on the boat. Even while we were moving she just slept. We went with some friends of ours and they just got a new boat. Well needless to say this "new boat" blew up. Not literally. We were moving and the boat started beeping. We stopped and looked behind us and the engine was smoking. Not something you want to see when you're out in the middle of the river with a baby. We called the sea tow and then waited a while for him to come. We just kind of drifted around for awhile. The tow back to our dock was over an hour long. Also not too fun with a baby. We still had a great time but it definitely put a damper on things. Sophia also decided she didn't want to sleep at night while we were there. She was up at 4 every morning and smiling away, ready for her day to begin. So Mommy was also up and ready for her day to begin, but without the smile. It is a 4 hour drive to and from and she was great in the car. I would do it again and just hope that Sophie would sleep and the boat wouldn't break down.

Love the Jumpie

I think it's just as much fun for me to get these new contraptions as it is for her.

Swim Class

Here are some pictures of Sophie at swim class. We had a great time. It was nice becuase it was actually in someones backyard and there was only one other little girl in the class with us. I have some video of her too but I will put that on later.

See my new zubbies

"zubbies" are what we called "teeth" when I was little

What do you think of my outfit?

Where did the time go......

Is and always will be a "Daddy's Girl"

6 month old cutie

We had Sophia's 6 month check up earlier this week and everything went great. She is in the 50th percentile for her weight and still in the 75th for her height. 15lbs 8oz and 27 inches long. She is growing up so fast. We have started her on some real foods finally. She does pretty good with most of them. She absolutely loves bananas. She's not too crazy about the carrots, squash, or green beans but we are working on it. I have been making her food myself and it's kind of fun. It's sort of like a science experiment. haha
We just ended our first swim class and she loved it. She never even cried when she got dunked. I will post those pictures soon. All in all we are doing great. She is still pretty much sleeping through the night and we are not swaddling or putting her in the positioner. She is a big girl now. The Doctor couldn't believe I was still swaddling her. So we are done with that. She loves having her freedom in her crib. She is not sitting up on her own yet, but very close. We are practicing crawling, but that I think is still at least a month away. I'm sorry I have been lagging at putting pictures up. I have started working on my real estate again, and I'm trying to figure out how to balance it all. All I have to say is I give "mad props" to those working moms out there. I can't believe I just said "mad props". Oh well.....

Bring on the goodies

Low and behold we have started the real foods. Sophie has been having rice cereal, bananas, and today we introduced carrots. She loves them. She grabs at the spoon shoves it in her mouth and bites on it real hard with her new teeth.
