We made it to week 2

It's already going by so fast. My little man is really not little. We had his 2 week check up today. He already weighs 10lbs and is 21.5 inches long. That puts him in the 84th percentile for his weight and 79th for his height. Michael is now back at work and my folks are back home. It's just me and my two kids at home now! LOL It even sounds weird to say. I said "my son" to someone the other day and then laughed after I said it. Everything this time around just doesn't seem as bad. The night feedings, the hormones, the healing, the weight shedding.... it just all seems so much easier this time! I know it's only week 2 but I'm hopeful that it continues to be this much fun. I really love having my family of 4! I couldn't ask for anything more this holiday season! I have my amazing husband, my beautiful princess, my little man (who I just love too much), our health, our home, and our jobs! I am very thankful this year!

I love Christmas

So even though we have a newborn..... Christmas is still right around the corner! Luckily I did most of the shopping before Travis came. I was taking a nap with Travis on the couch and when I woke up, the Xmas decorating had begun! Michael brought everything in the house and got it all started for me. Sophie loves decorating! She keeps moving things all around and every day something is in different spot. Her and Michael went to pick up the tree that had picked out the week before. We really had fun decorating it. It's a lot smaller than all of our previous trees but that's what happens when you move into a house without vaulted ceilings. Needless to say the tree is done, the lights outside are done and the inside is all ready for the holidays!

First week home!

Our first week home was really nice. We had my parents here for some help. Mom did all the cooking which was great and did all the cleaning and endless loads of laundry. We had Thanksgiving dinner a couple days late but we still managed to do it! Michael smoked a turkey and deep fried a turkey. We were sad to see my folks leave but have to get adjusted to reality sooner than later, right?
Every year we do a trip to the Xmas tree farm to pick out our tree. We couldn't all go this year but Sophie and Michael went and took some really cute pictures. All in all I think we all love being a family of 4!
