Michael's Birthday

We had a great BBQ this weekend for Michael's Birthday, with his family. It took Sophie awhile to warm up, but once she did she sure turned on the charm.
She was an absolute crack up.

Happy Mother's Day to All

Well it was going to be a great Mother's Day weekend but guess who woke up today with a 103 temperature??? Little Miss Sophie. I woke up this morning and went for a run, while Sophie was just starting to wake up. Michael was going to get her up and do breakfast so I could run and take a soak in the jacuzzi. When I got back from my run it was still quiet. She was still sleeping at 8:30am. We knew something was up. She was super lovey and really fussy. At 9:30 she was ready to go back to sleep again. Poor babe has been laying on one of us sleeping all day. She is now in bed, fast asleep but who knows for how long. It should be an interesting night and morning.

Sweet Child of Mine

How can she have soooo much personality already? This little child has a mind of her own, is independent, strong willed, a little stubborn at times, and the happiest kid around. Every time we go to the grocery store the clerks say, "Here comes the happiest baby ever!" She smiles at people and laughs even when they are not looking at her. She already knows the system on how to get what she wants and she really tests it. We were at Kohls the other day and she opened her bottle and dumped it all over herself. So here I am in the middle of the store stripping my child and picking out a new outfit for her to wear. I just have this little gut feeling that she knew what she was doing. She really wanted that new outfit. hahahaha

She is growing so much and doing so many things that it amazes us every day. Not talking yet. Only Mama and Dada, but she sure tells us what we need to hear. Everytime she wants to tell us something she just points and says "UH UH UH" over and over again until we do what she says.

We are so lucky to have such a great kid. She is sleeping from 7:30pm-7ish in the morning and is still taking 2, 2 hour naps a day. I'm not sure when she is supposed to switch to one nap but I'm going to push the 2 naps as long as I can.

Everyday we are so happy to look at this precious little face!!!

Saturday Morning Family Hike

It was a great day out today so we decided to all go on a family hike, even the mutt. Sophie even fell asleep for part of it. After the hike we went and got MORE baby gates to sprawl around the house. She is just every where lately.
Tomorrow we are baby proofing all day. So not fun!!!
