So far it's been a great week. I'm definitely tired but over all it's not half as bad as I thought it would be. The breast feeding isn't as hard as I thought either. Luckily I'm producing enough to feed all the children in Africa so Sophia likes to guzzle it and then choke a little because she drinks it too fast. I think we just have a great baby. She really doesn't cry. She doesn't like her diaper changed and she doesn't like to be hungry, but other than that she's a happy baby. Michael has been sick with a cold all week so that's been tuff. He hasn't even held her for 3 days now. Hopefully he gets better soon so we can sleep in the same bed again. Here are some pictures from her first week.

She's Here!!!!
Sophia Renee Bartle
11:38 am
7lbs 14oz
20 inches
It was a wonderful experience. I started having contractions at midnight Friday night and by 2am we went to the hospital. Once we got there the doctor said I was only 1cm. By 5:30am I was given the epidural and pitocin to get things rolling. Then everything happened pretty quick. By 8am I was at 5cm and by 11am I was ready to push, but the doctor wasn't there yet. At 11:20 I could feel her coming on her own and sure enough within a few pushes and 20 minutes later she flew out before the doctor was even in the room. We came home just in time for Easter dinner. Everyone is healthy and happy.

She's still not ready
We had our 39 week Doctor appt. yesterday and when we she checked me I wasn't dilated at all. She said she was going to stretch my cervix and strip the membranes. So she did and it was horribly painful. Now I am dilated 1cm. I've been told that when your cervix dilates, it hurts, but when someone dilates it for you..... it really hurts. So hopefully that will get things rolling here very shortly.
Mom gets here on Saturday and I'm hoping Sophia will come out on Easter!!!

No we have not had a baby yet
Just thought I would let everyone know that Sophia has not made an appearance yet. I'm starting to get the "did you have her yet" phone calls and we still have days to go. At our last appointment I was not dilated at all so she will most likely go full term and we have 12 days left. I lost a pound at this last appt. and I can't figure out how because my stomach keeps growing. It's starting to hurt because it's stretched so thin. I'm definitely at the uncomfortable stage finally and I'm ready to be done!!!!!!
We will update the blog as soon as we can once everything starts happening. Don't worry....we'll make sure everyone knows when she's here!!!!
