White Dove

Below are some pictures I took today in my backyard. I went outside and this white dove landed right beside me on the fence. Maybe a foot from my head. Scared the bejeebers out of me. Once Sammy noticed it.... that was the end of that. She started jumping to get at it and barking like crazy. That little bird wasn't even the slightest bit bothered by her. I went inside and got my camera, came back, and it was still there. Anyway, I sent the picture to Michael and his mom and his mom sent the picture back to me with writing on it, which is the bottom picture. I was laughing so hard. Gotta love her sense of humor!!!!

Damn Fires

Here is a picture from our backyard of the Santiago Canyon Fire. The winds are now switching directions so we're going to start getting a lot more of this smoke and ash. It really sucks, to say the least. Poor sammy hasn't had a walk since Sunday and it looks like it may still be a few more days. I just can't walk out in this garbage. It was also 102 at our house today. That's not helping matters. We're supposed to get some rain this weekend and it is really needed. Hopefully the weather guys get it right for a change.

There's also some new pictures of the growing baby bump below. I had a chiropractic adjustment today (felt great) and I lost another pound. I sure can get used to this pregnancy thing. I promise you all I'm eating enough to feed all the elephants in Africa. Well almost and as you can see the stomach is growing. I'm sure the pounds will really start coming on soon.

This is my 18 week bump. I can't believe how much has changed in just one week. I'm almost half way there already.

I don't know what happened?!?!?!?

It's only been a week and all of a sudden my stomach grew 10 times as big and became really hairy. My tattoo changed too. Wow this pregnancy thing sure is weird.

16 Week Check-Up

So we had our next Dr. visit and it was a boring one. I was hoping to get lucky and have yet another ultrasound, but not this time. She checked the heartbeat and measured my stomach to make sure I'm growing properly. I actually lost 1 pound from last month's visit, but she said that's fine. I've been working out and losing weight in some areas and gaining it in others. Trust me.... the stomach is really starting to grow. Even from last weeks picture it looks like it's already twice that size. We will take some more pics this weekend and post them. Maybe we'll even post one of Michael's 4 month bump. hahaha

I think we're going to go do some looking around at baby stuff this weekend and register soon. We want to register before Xmas that way everyone can just get us gifts for our little girl rather than us. We might as well start now rather than having to get it all at once. For those that will be coming to the baby shower we are planning it for the first weekend in February. I have to plan early because I'm hoping that some of my family from back east will be able to fly out!!!!

Don't laugh this weekend when you see my new belly I'm still a little self conscious about this whole belly thing. I'll get used to it eventually.

4 Month Bump!!!

Here they are. I will be 16 weeks on Tuesday and here is the new baby bump. Everything is really starting to change. I think this next month will be the real growing month. We have our next doctor's visit on Wednesday so I'll post more after that.

Welcome Baby Yadrick!!!

I went to the hospital today to visit my friend Elishia and her new baby girl Charlotte Ryan Yadrick. Look at all that hair. She was 8 pounds 13 ounces and so beautiful. It definately made me excited to have my own...........

Jessica's Bachlorette Weekend!!!

Sorry I haven't written in awhile. It's been a little crazy around our household lately. Last weekend we had my best friend Jessica's bachlorette party. Hence the crazy pictures from above. We had a great time. I had to turn in early both nights while everyone else partied, but that's ok. I know when my body needs the rest. The picture of the cars on the road is from when we were stuck in traffic coming home. The road was shut down because there was some serious accident. We sat there singing and messing around for hours. It was like we were in a movie. Everyone was just out of their cars walking around everywhere. Jessica had to go find me a motorhome to pee in. Never tell a pregnant women to hold her pee. Luckily there was a really nice couple that let me in. THANK GOD!!!! That first pic is for you Dad. "Mentos.... the fresh maker!!"

The baby and I are doing great. I'm still feeling good and we have our next visit on Wednesday. Next Tuesday I will be 4 months and will post some new belly shots then!!!!
