New Hair Do!!!

So while mom is here I decided to take advantage of her wonderful hair cutting skills. I needed a makeover bad. So here it is.......
This is a horrible picture but at least you get the idea.
BEFORE
AFTER

So I get this great haircut that I love and then the plague hits me...... I have food poisoning. I'm already feeling a little better but all day I have had some of the most projectile vomitting ever known to man. To top it all off my mom got it to and now my Aunt is taking care of both of us because Michael is in Mammoth. This is so not what I want to be dealing with, but I'm WILL be better before the baby shower on Saturday. I can promise you that.

Why do I wait so long........

I haven't written in so long that now I have a million things to post. Let's see..... My mom and my Aunt are here visiting right now. I'm love having them here. They flew in for the baby shower that I am having on Saturday. I'm REALLY excited for that. We had a 4D ultrasound on Tuesday and it was so fun. We took my mom with us for her birthday. She said it was her best birthday present ever. I don't have my baby picture scanned in yet, but when I do I will post it. These pictures and my newborn photo are identical. Same everything. The nurse also said she has a lot of hair!!!!!

On another note I had my 32 week check up and everything went great. I'm measuring fine and I'm up to 20lbs that I have gained. They do think that we are having a big baby, so this should be interesting. I was hoping for a little 6-7 pounder. So much for that.

Ready

I'm ready to have her.
I'm ready to meet her.
I'm ready to see what color her eyes are.
I'm ready to see if she has freckles like me.
I'm ready to see if she will be a toe head like Michael was.
I'm ready to count all her fingers and toes.
I'm ready to hold her and to rock her to sleep.
I'm ready to tell everyone what her name is. (it's so beautiful)
I'm ready to tell our parents that they are now grandparents.
I'm ready for sleepless nights. (maybe)
I'm ready to watch her grow.
I'm so ready to love her even more than I do now.
Can we just hurry this up. Only 9 weeks to go........................

Almost there...................... sort of.

Sammy knows there is something funny going on

Getting some lovin from Daddy

She's crying saying "Please don't have a baby, Please!!!"

We just had our 3o week check up. Only 9 weeks left if we go to full term. I'm hoping she comes a couple weeks early. The check up went great. I was a little nervous about being weighed since the nurse last time told me I gained too much in one month and put me on a diet, per say. She told me I could only gain 2 pounds per month until the end. Well folks....... I lost a pound. Don't yell at me. She said that was fine. I was eating healthy and working out and maybe I just lost a little of that holiday weight. My stomach is measuring at 31cm and that is right where it should be. My blood pressure was good and the babies heart rate was great. She also told me that she thinks the baby is already in a head down position. GREAT!!! We're ready, almost. We also asked her about guessing the babies weight since me, my brother, Michael, and his brother were all BIG babies. At 36 weeks she is going to do an ultrasound and tell us around what the baby will be at birth so that we can make a decision on how this baby will be coming out. If it's anywhere near the size of Michael's brother........ there is NO WAY she will be coming out the right way. You know me, I just like to have a plan. I already can tell that this little girl is going to make me throw all my plans out the window.

The growing baby bartle!!!!

30 Weeks!!!!!!

What's going on this week with mom and the baby......
The light is visible at the end of the tunnel! Your oversized self and amazing growing baby have finally reached the single digits (in terms of weeks till birth)! The fine lanugo hair that has been growing all over their little monkey-like body is going to start falling off this week in preparation for the big day. But don’t be shocked if they’re hairier than you’d anticipated, some babies keep their lanugo until after birth. Still, it’s not any cause to be concerned as it will fall off eventually. No surprises here: your little porker is getting even cuter with increasingly pudgy arms and legs this week thanks to the ever-growing layers of subcutaneous fat. In terms of numbers, your baby should be weighing in at around 3 pounds 12 ounces (or more!) and be nearly 16 inches long.
As for the ongoing joys of being in your third trimester: your not-so-fun symptoms are just intensifying this week, so it might not hurt to slow down a bit and focus on yourself. If you’re feeling extra fatigued, you’ve probably joined the sleeping shouldn’t be this tough when I’m this tired club, especially if you’re experiencing a lot of back pain and general discomfort. If you’ve been pushing the exercise thing, then this is the time perhaps to cut down on the physical activities and focus more on getting proper sleep (if this means buying a pregnancy pillow, then do it!). Oh and all that moodiness? Just go with the flow emotionally. This doesn't mean letting the hormones win and becoming a complete psychotic. Instead, feel the feelings, but know that the drama you’re feeling is largely a result of increased adrenaline thanks indirectly to hormonal swings—not because things really are that dramatic and merit adult temper tantrums. The clincher symptom for this week: it’s highly likely your libido has gone on sabbatical. This, as far as we’re concerned, is perfectly natural in your condition.

Nursery

Our Baby Girls New Closet

My creative stencil work

We're getting there!!!

Well the painting is done!!! Thank the Lord!!! I am so tired of painting. I painted the babies room, the other spare room, and all the new baseboards, casing, chair rail, doors, and door frames. I'm painted out and my poor nails are trashed and almost all broken. I even got creative (which you all know that I am not) and did a stencil in her room. I think it turned out pretty good for a first timer. The new carpet is going in tomorrow and then we are leaving on Friday for Mammoth. It's our last family vacation without a baby. Even Sammy gets to go. We're going to play in the snow while Michael snowboards. Once we get back we'll be able to go pick up the new furniture and start decorating the nursery. I can't wait. I have to say that I am most excited to wash some baby clothes and hang them in her cute little closet. I adore that closet. It's going to look even better with her stuff in it. I will be sure to take some more pictures this weekend and get some more belly shots on here. It's definately HUGE and I love it!!!

Registry is complete

We finally completed our registry and I'm so excited about it. It really feels like we're having a baby now. We are registered at www.babiesrus.com and also at www.babysupermall.com. We had to register at the 2nd one because babies r us didn't have all the accessories that go with our bedding set. If you have any problems logging on, let me know.
I hope you are all having a great week and I will post some new pictures later today.

28 Week Check Up

Well I am 7 months pregnant and officially in my 3rd trimester. How on earth did this go by so quick? It seriously blows my mind. I feel like I just got pregnant yesterday. Our visit today was fine. My glucose test results were in and I was very very low which is fine. Now I can have some sugar!!!! On the other hand I gained 6 flippin pounds this month. Not so good. They say at 7 months you should be between 17-24 pounds and I am at 17 now. So I guess I'm still fine but the doctor thinks otherwise. She told me I'm now only allowed to gain 2 pounds a month until I deliver. That will only put me at 22 pounds at delivery. That's great and all, but she needs to get over her skinny little self. I don't intend to pork on the pounds by any means, but I was told 25-35 was a good range for what you should gain. I will continue to work out like I have been and be careful of what I eat, but I doubt 2 pounds a month is going to happen. We go back again in 2 weeks and we start our childbirth classes next Thursday.

I started painting her room today and Michael is up there right now getting some misc. things done for both rooms that we are redoing. We've got 2 bedrooms upstairs that we are redoing right now so we have a lot of work ahead of us. Once I get things a little in order I will post some pictures. The baby shower invites should be going out soon so watch for yours in the mail. I will be announcing our little girls name at the shower!!!!

Happy New Year and all that jazz........

We had a wonderful Xmas and very relaxing New Year's. It was strange knowing that these were our last ones just the two of us. Next year will be a whole different story. As you can see below, Sammy loved her new bed. We threw it down in the middle of the floor and that's where it stayed all day.
New Year's was pretty mellow this year considering I don't usually stay up past 9pm. We had lunch with some friends, went out to dinner with all our neighbors, came home and just barely stayed awake long enough to watch some random fireworks out our window at midnight. What's funny is that is exactly what we did last year and I wasn't pregnant. I guess we're just getting old. All in all it was a wonderful year and we can't wait to see what 2008 has in store for us.
